8.  Chevrolet Aveo

The Aveo saw Chevrolet return to the sub compact car market.  The pint sized vehicle was offered as a two or four door model that offered drivers a decent amount of room and great gas mileage.  The Aveo did well in American markets but it shined in the micro car markets of Europe.  Unfortunately for Chevrolet and the people who bought them the Aveo was deemed as one of the unsafest on the roads.  For every 1 million units sold 99 people lost their lives due to an accident.
