Johnson’s 2016 Lowe’s Red Vest Chevy unveiled
CONCORD, N.C. — With post-season football now wrapped up and less than two weeks until the Daytona 500, it is officially race season.
Prior to kickoff at Super Bowl 50 this past Sunday, Team Lowe’s Racing took to Twitter to unveil the paint scheme for the No. 48 Lowe’s Red Vest Chevrolet SS that driver Jimmie Johnson will pilot in 2016.
Johnson will debut the new look on July 24 in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Now in its third year, the No. 48 Lowe’s Red Vest Chevrolet SS already has a win on its resume when the No. 48 team and Lowe’s employees went to Victory Lane at Texas in 2014.
The paint scheme for the car is designed to reflect the red vests that Lowe’s employees wear in the stores and honors the 265,000-plus employees across the country. When people see a red vest, they think of Lowe’s; it is symbolic of the company’s commitment to their customers as well as the outstanding service their employees provide each and every day.
