Chevrolet Corvette modified to become world’s fastest fire-fighting vehicle
Dubai, home to the world’s wildest police fleet, is at it again with a Chevrolet Corvette now pressed into service as a fire-fighting vehicle.
Dubai Civil Defence officers can now race to the rescue of people in record time in the brand new specially-modified Corvette that officials are claiming is the world’s fastest fire-fighting vehicle.
The car, for the first time, was displayed at the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition. It is not the first Corvette the DCD has had with it previously showing old versions in 2013 and 2015.
Brigadier Ahmed Obaid Al Sayeq said the latest model Corvette was modified into a fire-fighting vehicle by specialists at a Dubai workshop, and that the car is equipped with fire extinguishers, hydraulic and first-aid equipment.
