2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift officially launched
Closely following the world debut of the updated Colorado, Chevrolet also unveiled the refreshed 2017 Trailblazer in Brazil. It now bears a more chiseled front end, new suspension components, improved chassis and new standard amenities like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MyLink 2.
Like the pickup from which it is based off, the updated pickup-platform vehicle (PPV) takes styling cues from the Trailblazer Premier Concept. It gets a larger dual-port grill, new sleek headlights with daytime running lights (DRLs) and a redesigned front bumper with integrated foglights.
LTZ models are fitted with new 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, along with revised stepboards which make for easier ingress and egress. The rear relatively carries over from the pre-updated model except for some minor tweaks on the taillights and bumper.
In terms of size, the 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer measures 4.8 meters long, 1.90 meters wide and 2.85 meters tall.
Inside, Chevrolet claims the PPV now has soft-touch plastic trim and gets the same instrument panel and door trim as the 2017 Colorado with better ergonomics. The updated instrument display now features a new multi-information display, digital speedometer, maintenance intervals and oil life cycle.
Also making its way in the updated PPV is the heavily revised center console. As previously stated, it houses Chevrolet’s second generation infotainment system MyLink2. It now supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and a new high resolution touchscreen. Chevrolet also says it has improved smartphone integration, voice command and GPS navigation.
