100+ Hot Rods Gather to Celebrate the Life of “Goodguy” Gary Meadors
The late Gary “Goodguy” Meadors was honored with a celebration of life at the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, California, February 14, 2016. Attendees were encouraged to bring a hot rod, and we were amazed at the cars that showed up in the parking lot of the museum. We’ve included a gallery of just some of the cars attending to honor Meadors.
Of course the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association has pretty much defined the large scale hot rod and muscle car event scene, and it was Gary who had the vision and fortitude to develop the Goodguys organization to what it is today. Emceed by longtime Goodguys Communications Director John Drummond, numerous speakers gave moving and in many cases humorous remembrances, with a fun video remembrance completing the casual celebration, attended by hundreds of Meadors’ friends and car enthusiasts alike.
